Bi-weekly Geeky Meeting for Ph.D. Students in the Signals and Systems Area

Coordinator: Mihaela van der Schaar (email: mihaela@ee.ucla.edu)

Aim: Organizing a bi-weekly (every other week) geeky lunch seminar for PhD students in the signals and systems area to informally present and discuss their research.

Who can attend: Everyone doing research in the signals and systems area (signals, communications, networking, controls, optimization, systems, etc.) is welcome to attend; including faculty, graduate students, and visitors. We can learn from each other and this provides participants an opportunity to polish their presentation and debate skills.

Who will present: PhD students who have passed their Qualifying Exam, or who are close to doing so, can volunteer to give 30-45 minute presentations. The other students can comment and discuss the topic.

When: Every 2 weeks at noon on Fridays.
